These are the terms for booking Sleigh on Perry for a private event. They are short on purpose. Paying the deposit invoice is how you accept them; there is nothing separate to sign.
1. Who's who
Sleigh on Perry is the pop-up holiday bar in the upstairs bar and lounge at Local Republic, 139 N Perry Street, Lawrenceville, Georgia. It is operated by LR Restaurant, LLC dba Local Republic ("we", "us"). The Event Host ("you") is the person or organization booking the event. These terms are the Agreement.
2. Booking and deposit
- A $500 deposit holds your date. Of that, $250 is non-refundable from the moment it is paid.
- There is no contract to sign. Paying the deposit invoice accepts this Agreement.
- Your date is not held until the deposit is received. Until then it stays available to other hosts.
- The deposit is applied to your final bill.
3. Cancellations
- Cancel more than 7 days before the event and we keep the $250 non-refundable portion and return the rest of the deposit.
- Cancel within 7 days of the event and the full $500 deposit is non-refundable.
- If we have to cancel for a reason within our control, every payment you have made is refunded in full.
4. Payment and pricing
- The balance and your final guest count are due 7 days before the event. You are billed for the final count you confirm at that time, or the 30-guest package minimum, whichever is greater.
- Package prices carry a 20% service charge, 6% sales tax, and 3% city alcohol tax. The figures on our website already include them.
- Events on December 19 through 23 carry a 20% premium on the package base.
- Prices, tax and service rates are subject to change until your deposit is paid. Your quote is the price once it is.
- Add-ons chosen after booking, and any beverages outside the package bar menu, are added to the final bill.
5. The space and the booking
- Your booking is the upstairs bar and lounge for three hours, with a dedicated event team, your food package, and the open bar described on our website.
- The room holds 50 guests standing and seats 34. Above 34 your event runs as a standing reception. We cannot accommodate more than 50.
- The room is available to you at the scheduled start time. Guests and vendors cannot arrive early to set up.
- The space is semi-private and not soundproof. It is closed to the public during your event, but the restaurant downstairs is open and trading.
- The upstairs is reached by stairs only. There is no elevator. You are responsible for confirming this with your guests before the event.
- Extra time, where available, is by prior arrangement and at an additional charge.
6. Food and beverage
- Menus are samples. Final selections depend on the season and availability and are confirmed with you 30 days before the event.
- Dietary restrictions and allergies must reach us at least 7 days before the event. Our kitchen will do its best to accommodate them.
- Outside food and beverages are not permitted, with one exception: a cake or dessert brought in with prior approval, for which a $2 per guest cutting fee applies.
- Alcohol is served only to guests aged 21 or over with valid ID. We may refuse service to any guest who is intoxicated or disruptive, and may end an event early if the safety of guests or staff requires it. No refund is owed in that case.
7. Decor, music and AV
- The room is fully decorated for the season. No additional decor is needed or permitted.
- A house holiday playlist plays throughout. Because of the openness of the space we do not accommodate outside playlists, live performers, DJs, or audio-visual presentations.
8. Damage
You are responsible for damage to the space, its decorations, fixtures or equipment caused by you or your guests beyond normal wear, and for the reasonable cost of repair or replacement.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for injury to any person or loss of or damage to any property during the event, and guests attend at their own risk. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LR Restaurant, LLC, its owners, employees and agents from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or relating to the event, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
10. Events beyond our control
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing this Agreement caused by anything beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, fire, flood, utility failure, public-health orders, acts of civil or military authorities, strikes, or shortages of labor, fuel or supplies. If such an event prevents us from hosting yours, we will offer another date where we can, or refund every payment you have made in full.
11. General
- Governing law. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
- Entire agreement. This Agreement, together with your quote and deposit invoice, is the entire agreement between us for the event and supersedes any earlier communications, oral or written.
- Severability. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it is struck and the rest remains in force.
- Waiver. No waiver of any provision is effective unless in writing from the party giving it.
